PUBG cross-play is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in OctoberTime: 2019-08-20
Along with a new season of content for Playerunknowns Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp has announced console crossplay is coming to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is receiving console cross-play later this year for Xbox One and PS4. PUBG Corp didn't give too many details when it introduced the new features, but the developers mentioned that the new features will pit Xbox One players against PlayStation 4 players.
Meanwhile, PUBG Corp says faster console updates are on the way. When the update arrives, PUBG will join a still-way-too-short list of games that allow crossplay between Xbox One and PS4, including Fortnite, Dauntless and Rocket League. The season 4 patch will hit consoles on August 27th, and going forward, console updates will arrive two weeks after they arrive on PC.
In season 4, players can purchase a follow-up survival card. After obtaining the pass, players will have the opportunity to earn more than 100 new rewards in season 4. With the arrival of the new season, the visual fidelity of the game will also be improved. The maps will be updated with new areas and secrets for players to discover.
The Xbox One and PS4 cross-play update will release later this year in October.
