Alan Wake Tips, Beginners Guide and Walkthrough

Time: 2019-07-13

Alan Wake is a thrilling action game developed by Remedy Entertainment in Finland. It was released by Microsoft Game Studios. The game was launched on the Xbox 360 platform on May 14, 2010 and on the PC platform on February 17, 2012. For beginners, it is may be hard to walkthrough. So, at Cdkeysmall.com, we sum up with some Alan Wake Tips, Beginners Guide & Walkthrough to help you.

1. Collect everything you find on your way.
Every single item you may find is useful in some way. There are no useless objects that only occupy space in your pockets. Batteries, ammunition and weapons almost always prove useful.

2. Kill your enemies as fast as possible.
Due to the nature of the game mechanics and combat system, it is extremely difficult for Wake to survive a prolonged fight against huge groups of enemies. Therefore, when encountering a mob of three or more enemies, you must find a way to kill them as fast as possible. Don’t hoard your grenades — if you see a golden opportunity to take out multiple enemies at once with a flashbang or flare gun, just do it!

3. Get to the Light and Avoid Fighting When Possible.
Fighting isn't always the best strategy when a knife-wielding Taken pops up behind you and you spent all your ammo and last two flares in that epic fight by the bush. Avoid frustrating deaths. Save ammo and use the Safe Havens.

4. Make full use of the revolver
The revolver is your bread and butter, use it on all weak enemies and on singular tough enemies. Whenever you find the shotgun and hunting rifle on your normal playthrough you should use them to gain progress towards the '50' kills requirement. The revolver is much more common than them, and you need to grind 100 kills with it. Among the other two, the Hunting Rifle is less common than the Shotgun, and also more powerful: you should use it quite often. If you hit 50 kills with the Hunting Rifle, try to stick with the Shotgun from that point on. If you also hit 50 kills with the Shotgun, simply use your favourite weapon.

5. Where to use the hand flare
When you are surrounded by enemies, the best thing you can do is to launch a hand flare. This item is not very efficient in combat, but on the other hand, flares are popular items, and their light is great at scaring your enemies off. Alternatively, you can also use the flare gun or a flashbang.
