Dead Rising 4 is an action-adventure video game developed by Capcom Vancouver and published by Microsoft Studios for Xbox One. It is the fourth installment in the Dead Rising series. Dead Rising 4 is the history of one of the hottest new passages in the zombie game series, not only the photographer Frank West will come again, all the classic elements in this groundbreaking game series will also repeat one by one, from practical to fantasy, all-encompassing weapons combined with vehicle for players and to fight the zombies. 

 

It features the return of Frank West, and is set in a Christmas-themed Willamette, Colorado. The Willamette Memorial Megaplex mall and surrounding town are overrun with deadly predators. Retired photojournalist Frank West returns to uncover the government conspiracy behind the outbreak. He discovers that a clandestine military operation, a former student gone rogue, and a cunning new breed of zombie are all racing for the same evidence. Frank must get to the truth first… or die trying. 

 

Not only that, but players will also be able to enjoy some of the most daring new features, including new types of zombies, power armor, and a multiplayer mode where four players can play in tandem. Dead Rising 4 is filled with exciting action elements and unprecedented weapons and character customization features, allowing players to explore, search and fight for survival in the grand open world sandbox, while enjoying thrilling pleasures.

 

The game was released worldwide on December 6, 2016.The game received mixed reviews from critics, praising the gameplay and the return of Frank West (in the case of the majority), however citing decline in quality and some technical problems. A Microsoft Windows version for Steam was released on March 2017, published by Capcom. A PlayStation 4 version of the game, titled Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package, was released on December 5, 2017.
